Hi,
So, how should we phrase the FAQ? Here's one proposal.
Q: What is the default desktop of openSUSE - GNOME or KDE?
A: openSUSE supports a number of popular desktop environments, including GNOME and KDE. During installation, the user is asked to choose between GNOME and KDE but no default is given. Both desktop environments are mature and feature-rich, which one a user choose is a question of personal taste.
since nobody objected, I put it onto the FAQ page:

Looks great; thanks Frank, Aj.
One thought that just came to me though, why not change the first sentence to say:
"openSUSE supports a number of popular desktop environments, including GNOME, KDE, and Xfce."
What do you think?
That was my first attempt as well ;-). Since the question is mainly about GNOME vs. KDE - and we only offer these two during installation, I decided to not add Xfce. If the consensus is that this is not a problem, I'm fine with the change...
