Hello,
I would like to highlight two issues with @opensuse.org emails. Currently, email is implemented via simple redirection to the specified user email address. It complicates email sending and replying. Currently, GMail doesn't permit attaching new custom 'From:' email address without providing corresponding SMTP server credentials and address. The second is that when @opensuse.org email is sent, neither DKIM nor SPF are available for obvious reasons. This sometimes makes SPAM filters unhappy.
It is not a complaint. It would be great to know what can be done to fix @opensuse.org email in the modern world.
I send emails 'from' my @opensuse.org account from gmail, using the 'send mail as' feature: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22370?hl=en You only need to be able to receive a confirmation email to prove it. -- James Mason Technical Architect, Public Cloud openSUSE Member SUSE jmason@suse.com
