If you created an account at www.novell.com, www.suse.com, or www.netiq.com (for example, to access the wiki, forums, SUSE Sudio, etc.) and used the address there, then that's how it got into the system. If you used it to create a Novell Login for authentication to SUSE Studio, then you provided the address to them.
Well, obviously, I had to register somewhere to enter Bugzillas and to use the forum and other things. That was years ago. The only recent one was for SUSE Studio, but then I would expect emails related to that one.
The e-mail address in customer center is used across all the BUs (to my knowledge). If you used that login for Studio (ie, you click on the "Novell" login button when you login with openID), then it's using an existing profile.
You can check your e-mail address setting at http://www.novell.com/ncc - look in the "profile" settings.
It says that I have no products. If I look at the "My Notifications" it says that my region is "North America". If that were so I would not have been receiving those notifications in Spanish.
That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that your account there (robin_listas) probably uses the opensuse.org e-mail address (which I'd guess you registered with), and that's how it's in the system.
I'd be willing to bet that that's where you provided it and where it came from.
Somewhere, obviously, but netiq?
NetIQ, Novell, and SUSE are the three companies in The Attachmate Group. While integration of user info with NetIQ has been slow, it has been moving forward, so it really isn't surprising to me that the "new to SUSE users" business unit (which was the only BU for Attachmate prior to the acquisition of Novell and SUSE - though Attachmate has their own tech line, nobody seems to talk about that that much - it's all "Novell/SUSE/ NetIQ") would have access to and would use these new addresses.
