my expericence with QLogic Driver, is to use the lastest driver supplied from the manufacture for the version of linux that you are using. because mismatched Qlogic Driver would cause OS kernel panic. if QLogic Driver does have problem, you should able to see the messages in OS boot log or error log, Hunter <newtype@programmer.net>

I am using SLES 10 latest beta bits. I think there was a problem in QLogic driver in SLES 10 beta bits.

I have a VA (Virtual Array), it has 4 LUNs, /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc, /dev/sdd. To reset scsi device i isssued the following command

#sg_reset -d /dev/sg1. After issueing this command, the machine is not coming up ( it is hanging)

Later i wrote the following script for resetting device,. but still i have the same problem
