SPAM: Like parted command is there any other command to partition a device

Hi All, Now i am using SLES 10. To partitioning a device on ia 64 m/c i am using parted command. Do we have any other command to partition a device ? On ia 64 m/c , how to find the partition table in terms of block, means, partition 1 start at x block and end at y block. Thanks in advance. regards, Masthan
