RaLink rt3090 bauen geht schief
Hallo zusammen, ich versuche gerade krampfhaft den rt3090sta-Treiber unter der 11.2 zu Bauen. Scheint ein Treiber für Kernel 2.4.x zu sein, da gibt's die Member in struct net_device nämlich.
Ein rpm fuer Kernel 2.6.31.5 gibt es nur fuer Mandrake. Laesst sich das konvertieren?
Welchen Kernel verwendest du? Und ja, das könnte funktionieren.
Im Build gibt es Pakete bis 2.6.28.? Hier habe ich keine src.rpm finden koennen.

Dann passt der Code nicht zum Kernel. Im Zweifel mal, wenn kernel-source installiert ist, in den Kernelheadern unter /usr/src/linux/include nachsehen.
Von C habe ich leider 0-Ahnung!
Selbst mit C-Kenntnissen müsstest Du dich schon einigermassen gut mit Kernel-Programmierung auskennen, um das ggfs. zu korrigieren.

Nur wenn es ein .src.rpm gibt. Aber ich würde testweise einfach das rpm mit unrpm auspacken und den Treiber an die richtige Stelle unter /lib/modules/$(uname -r) kopieren. Ich hab mir nur das .src.rpm geschnappt, noch 2 Patches aktiviert (1: WPA-mixed und 4: convert-devicename-to-wlanX), keine Ahnung ob das sinnvoll ist, und dann halt mal gebaut. Nachtrag: Philipp, ich hab dich mal als Maintainer mit reingenommen: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=rt3090sta&project=home%3Adnh%3Atesting tu dir keinen Zwang an, wenn du Änderungen machen willst, ich mach's heut nämlich nimmer lang ;) Aber es scheint zu klappen, nachdem ich den patch5 angepasst hab. Die relevante Änderung war wohl bei 2.6.31 oder so, nicht zwischen 2.4 und 2.6. Speziell bei einer Änderung am %patch5 bin ich mir unsicher, speziell: - if (pDevOpHook->get_stats) - pNetDev->get_stats = pDevOpHook->get_stats; + //if (pDevOpHook->get_stats) + // pNetDev->get_stats = pDevOpHook->get_stats; Der Original-Patch setzt dort: if (pDevOpHook->get_stats) - pNetDev->get_stats = pDevOpHook->get_stats; + pNetDev->netdev_ops = pDevOpHook->get_stats; Was für mich "auf den ersten Blick" nur falsch sein kann. Das Installieren per rpm funktioniert ohne Meckerei, _aber_: modprobe rt3090sta schickt die Kiste (fast) in den Stillstand. Es geht nicht mehr viel, auch das Runterfahren geht in die Hose. Die Meldungen aus vlm schiebe ich mal unten ran [1] Was mir auf gefallen ist beim versuchten Shutdown Shutting down (remotefs) network interfaces: wlan0 device: RaLink RT3090 Wireless _remotefs_ ??? Ich bin nun auf Kernel 2.6.26.37-0.1 zurueck und konnte den Treiber (auf der und) fuer die Kiste bauen. Jetzt gibt es schonmal das Device "ra0" - controlled by ifplugd:-) Nun geht es an die Konfiguration. Hierzu musste ich die .dat-Files nach /etc/WIRELESS/RT2860STA kopieren. Mal sehen... Jetzt versuche ich diese Version incl. opensuse 11.1 durchzuboxen. Der Kernel scheint auf dem FitPC insgesamt weniger Aerger zu machen. Siehe "FIT-PC opensuse 11.2". Das Problem mit der scheinbar stehenden Kiste, die nach einem kurzen Mausruckler komplett weiterarbeitet, habe ich hier noch nicht bemerkt. MfG Th.
