hallo, No, the X11-devel packages are not installed.. , but, i can not find those packages for the SuSE 8.0 distribution. I found some rpm named X11-devel-6.8.1-5.i386.rpm, but need other dependencies packages like: X11-imake-6.8.1-5.i386.rpm and X11-libs-6.8.1-5.i386.rpm..etc This rpms also need other rpms and so on.... What i have to do? On SuSE 8.0 the package you need is probably called 'xdevel'. You MUST install the devel-package that fits to your X package. Look what package your X belongs to: rpm -qf `which X` which will probably be xf86-X.Y.Z-NN and then you have to look on your CDs/DVDs for the package 'xdevel-X.Y.Z-NN' and install that. -dnh -- Malicious software is so rampant that the average time it takes for an unpatched Windows XP to be compromised after connecting it directly to the Internet is 16 minutes -- less time than it takes to download and install the patches that would help protect that PC. -- Nicholas Petreley on theregister.co.uk
