[opensuse-ppc] minor glitches in 10.2
Hi All, Finally downloaded 10.2 and installed it on my G5 1.6 tower. Two things, do any of you see K3BSetup? I can't find it anywhere. Also, I don't have any sound. and can't get sound started, so no Amarok. Kmix icon in tray has an x over it. Any suggestions on getting sound to work? When I go to the hardware pane in Sound System, and try to start sound, I get a progress bar that starts at 0 and goes to 100 over and over again, but no sound ever starts. Never had that problem in 10.1. Thanks. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Hey, Had a problem with sound myself although not on a PPC. I had to add myself to the audio group. Logout / login .... all good. Shaun, You were right, I was not in the audio group by default. Added myself, now groups gives: users audio cdrom video Tried login out and in, Now I don't get an error message when I start Amarok and the songs look like they are playing in the equalizer, but nothing comes out of the speakers! Also did a restart with no joy. All volumes are turned up. I know the speakers are hooked up and working because I have set up dual boot with a macos disk and I can hear music that way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Need a quick answer? Get one in minutes from people who know.
