I started installing RC1 on my system this morning. I have noticed something that happens in both Beta3 and RC1. When installing on a low memory system, you are booted into text mode. If you switch screens by doing the CTRL-ALT-# to check for module loading(tty3) or kernel messages(tty4), YaST will initialize the text mode installer on the terminal that is currently on the screen. This cased an installation headache for me when I installed Beta3, because YaST's screen would be messed up when kernel messages are posted, and I've been able to duplicate it on RC1. I've got more memory coming and I will see if it does the graphical install when I get the memory in the machine. Is anyone else using an old world Mac like my 7500? __________________________________________________________________ Switch to Netscape Internet Service.
