YaST -> System -> Boot Loader -> Select relevant image -> Edit Add the text to the "Optional Kernel Command Line Parameter", checking also for conflicting existing elements.

I'll look into getting a NVidia driver for my G5 PowerMac, any suggestions? assuming that I am not the only one who selected openSuse as a Linux system.
