The k_deflt*-3.ppc.rpm supports sound on the ibook, but you have no mixer functionality. I have found that the most detailed info on Apple's hardware is from the developer's pages on the apple web site. Due some legal stuff, at the time of the 7.0 it was not possible to include ssh in the international version. You can find the packages (and other crypto stuff) here: ftp.suse.de/pub/suse/ppc/update/7.0/sec1/
