Hi all, I've upgraded from 2.2.16 kernel to 2.4.2-11, I installed the k-deflt rpm on the linux side .. put the 2.4.2-11.gz file in the /boot directory and use the copy option in lilo to copy the vmlinux file over to the hfs partition so I can boot it with bootx.. I also upgraded ppp and modutils. now I can boot into my new kernel but I only get about 5 minutes in kde before it freezes completely forcing me to hard reboot the machine. what am I doing wrong? I'm using a B&W G3 with a Suse 7.0 install. many thanks, -- - ____________________________ - Jonathon Wallen - B,DES College of Fine Arts, UNSW - z2213441@student.unsw.edu.au - jwal707@cse.unsw.edu.au - jonathon@fridge.unsw.edu.au - ____________________________
