Hi, I couldn't get the ieee1394 to work with my blue and white G3. It uses the pcilynx driver, but the driver doesn't seem to work with the sbp2 module (which treats the drive as a scsi device. However, I bought a cheap pci firewire card (about $20 on e-bay), and used the ohci1394 module instead of the pcilynx module. It worked like a charm. I'll keep the pci card in my computer until the pcilynx module works correctly, then I'll put the pci card in my old pentium box and use the on-board G3 hardware.
