SuSE 7.0 on Titanium PowerBook G4 ?
hi, i can't boot the CD, and i tried copying the suseboot folder to my HFS linux partition. it boots up to the line where is says 'using color dummy device 80x25' then it just hangs there (and usually resets the hardware clock) ... i'm guessing it's got something to do with this screen's non-standard resolution. has anyone else had success, or do i need to wait until i can afford to get a 7.1 CD? thanks for any tips. --isaac

You dont need 7.1, what you need is a newer kernel and newer ppp and modutils. /mirror/SuSE/ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/ppc/kernel/ There is BETA/sleep/vmlinux.initrd.pmac-elf, boot that directly, it will drop you into the installer. I'm not sure if XFree 4.0.1 works for you, it should because the ATI chip is the same as the pismo. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
