There is a dir in the ftp site implying some sort of 64bit PPC Linux any ideas what is going on? I know some PowerPC CPUs can be switched to 64bit modes is this what is going on here ? btw any chance of installing SuSE PPC from an iso of the web or what ? Really SuSE should release these images otherwise they'll make me believe they lost the plot of OSS In my case i'd like to buy the package anyway as i do with for my other playforms but I'm stuburn now. This is not right any ideas where the iso images are cheers and sorry for the rantings ;-) -- John

Read: http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/lmuelle_suselinux_internet.html I know that this is one of the reasons SuSE is not very popular in my country. But then again, I am pretty sure that it earns more money from my country than does Mandrake... By the way, this has nothing to do with OSS. They provide the sources (as well as the RPMs!) on ftp, and they are also available with the install disks. So as far as the GPL is concerned, SuSE is covered. Nobody ever said that ISO images of compiled OSS is to be provided free of charge. Herouth -- EMAIL: herouth@netvision.net.il HOME PAGE: http://www.herouth.f2s.com/
