I know about the nvidia ppc driver being missing. However, I understood that there were 2 separate problems. One concerned the mixed up X11 color table, which was a kernel issue (according to Olaf Herring). The other one is the acceleration, which obviously requires a proper driver. If problem 1 could be fixed, life would be already much easier on the new G4s. And my question was whether the recently acclaimed official Mandrake PPC distribution did provide some progress on this topic. I was a bit reluctant to reinstall linux completely (thereby ruining completely the suse implementation for which i invested quite some time already), just to check this particular point, given the fact that it will very likely bring nothing new... jean-francois Donati
