Hi, I am preparing to use Japanese with SUSE and am finding the necessary packages to install. I have come across one that wants glibc to be installed but i see that SUSE has libc installed instead. Can I ignore the dependency or should I install glibc? If I install glibc will it cause havoc with libc? Will I even be able to have both on the same system? I've no idea. thanks very much Joss -- http://www.josswinn.org/PGP_key.html

libc and glibc is the same thing, just a different name. You don't need to update these libs, unless you know what you are doing. use --nodeps as rpm option. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
