Olaf, I have the original 7.1 distribution, is it enough to just upgrade SaX2 and reconfigure? Jaap-Jan

Hi,
Does somebody knows if the Xfree86 of:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/ppc/supplementary/X/suse71/4.1.0/xf86-4.1.0-13.ppc
.rpm
supports (accelerated) the ATI Rage ultra of my feb 2001 iMac?
I also compiled and installed the 2.4.12 kernel, does that work with the Xfree86 of above?
It should work, but I cant verify it. Make sure you upgrade sax2.

Updating sax2 is a good idea in any case. But it will not fix a broken ati driver. You could do a `sax2 -p` to see if it really picks the ati driver. If not, use `sax2 -m 0=ati` to force the ati driver. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
