Hi everyone, I have tried to install Suse 6.4 on my brandnew PowerMac 450 MP. Partition is 10GB on the 30GB HD. Now, after failure with Yaboot I'm having trouble setting up the Firmware boot procedure. Now my question: does anyone have experience with Suse 6.4 on a PowerMac 450 MP or should I upgrade to 7.0 (because my machine is somewhat newer than the 6.4 delivery, also some hardware, e.g. the mouse has changed). It would be very nice if someone could help me. 6.4 should work. You need a newer kernel. Try that one: http://penguinppc.org/~olaf/beta/vmlinux-benh-2.2.18pre17-ben1 That will appear on our ftp server in a few hours, with some bugfixes. Read the support database how to update the kernel. http://support.suse.de/en/sdb/html/olh_ppc_64_new_powermacs.html Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
