ok. i do not know what/how 'mac-fdisk -l' operates. 2 partitons on external 2gig scsi 127 mg + 1.8 gig. which i thought /dev/sdc5 127 swap /dev/sdc6 1.8gig 1 partition check: sda: sda1 sda2 sda3 sda4 sda5 sda6 sdb: sdb1 sdb2 sdb3 sdb4 sdb5 sdb6 sdb7 detected scsi disk sdb at scsi1, channel 0 id6, lun 0 helpful ? ek.d Christoph Schaefer wrote:

fsck.ext2 /dev/sdc6 failed (status 8)! Run it manually failed
i do attempt to locate swap device but this i am not familiar. i know what swap is but i am not sure how to fix if this is the problem.
if i swap something i do not know how or why this happened.
