For fun, I installed SLES9 on my old B50. The installer worked more-or-less out of the box except for a lot of scsi timeout annoyances. I guess the reason is that the installer greps around inside /proc/pci instead of using lspci. The other flaw was that the installation of "lilo" (that is yaboot in disguise) did not work, and I've not got the time to make it work yet. Booting it up with a rescue cd shows that even lvm over software-raid was installed correctly using nothing but the yast installer. Next project: SLES9 on the 7248 *shiver* Ingvar -- Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends. Gandalf
