I am STRONGLY recommend to create XF86Config submission directory for Power Macs and Apple Portables, since sax2 and all other aut-config tools produce nothing but garbled screen.

I would rather fix sax2 to to the right thing on the given machine. Can you send me a few files? dmesg output the file /var/log/SaX.log after a `sax2 -af` run lspci -n output cat /proc/cpuinfo output cat /proc/version output Does startx work after a `sax2 -af` run?
