[opensuse-ppc] OpenSuSE on PS3 some questions
As I wanted to install openSuSE on my new PS3. I was looking for openSuSE 11.2 but I saw that openSuSE 11.2 doesn't exist. Does anyone know if there is a openSuSE 11.2 reposity from where I can install openSuSE 11.2. I've now installed openSuSE 11.1 which works fine. But I want to install the latest release. I would like to know what the future of OpenSuSE for ppc is and how it will be handled in respect to releases? Unfortunately, the ppc port was dropped from official support before 11.2 was released.

Factory was syncing recently, but I'm not sure if it finished. The install kernel is still outdated, and looking at the time stamps, it doesn't look like much has been updated recently. PPC is only 0.3% of the openSUSE users. Novell is still planning on a PPC port for SLES so I'm not sure where we're going to see it going in the future. The factory repository for PPC is: powerpc.opensuse.org You should be able to change your repositories to those locations and do a "zypper dup" to migrate to close to an 11.2 install. There was one Factory sync which was not so bad, but the current state is kinda broken. I submitted fixes for installation-images to build, so the NET ISO might work again at some point in time.
