and I saw the notices about the G4: "it seems that an installation is possible", well... Are there really no Ti-owner (yet) in the SuSE devel team ?
No, but that doesnt matter anyway.
oh yes, that would matter, I'm sure :)
Ben has one, that does matter ;)
Ok, so now we're 2... Maybe I should start a mailing list for Ti owners :)
The upcoming 2.4.15 will have some basic support for the new PowerBooks, and iBooks. You can download it here: ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/ppc/kernel/
well, there are lots of files there... which one should be used, and installed where (suseboot partition, as kernel...) ?
Regards, Olivier -- hi olivier, hi olaf hi all !!!
I've tried the vmlinux.elf-pmac - it works great (can't select from any boot menu only OF - but isn't the real problem because it doesn't have gmac , radeonfb , and hfs inside -schade eigentlich!) got the problem of not beeing able to compile a complete kernel / esp. modules! got no complete 2.4.12 sources (are they already including the makefiles for the radeonfb ?) can somebody help me with a virtual x server running under 2.4.12 ? greetings from ben
