Hi, I have encountered nasty problem with new-world PPC booting after using beta k_defit-2.4.6-5.rpm kernel (however, I am not sure beta 2.4.7pre3 was a culprit). I have Indigo iBook with ReiserFS root partition and SuSe 7.1, which worked for several months. After installing and using for about 2 hours latest SuSE 2.4.7pre3 kernel (k_defit-2.4.6-5.rpm) PPC boot seem to be completely screwed, I am always being throuwn in Open Firmware with default catch 300. However, the Linux itself is OK because I may boot from CD, and then boot installed Linux. Right now booting from HD is not possible with any kernel. I have checked HFS boot partition for corruption, zapped PRAM, replaced yabot, virtually nothing helps. Any idea what it could be?
