Installation on G3 Powerbook 500
Hi List, after installation I cannot get SuSE Linux starting up without asking for a new installation. It finally runs when I run the "internal setup program" (in lack of the installation CD which I believed should NOT be needed anymore) and after going "Back" a few steps and telling it to start an already installed system. But that ist not what it is meant to be, I hope ... See chapter 4 for lilo configuration. /etc/lilo.conf should look like that boot=/dev/hda_partitionnumber timeout = 100 default = linux image = /boot/vmlinux-2.4 label = linux other = /dev/hda_macos_partition label = macos run lilo as root. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
Sorry, it is Version 6.4 and I configured it with yaboot. It does not seem to me that yaboot recognizes anything in my yaboot.conf on the "Linuxboot" Partition or in the /etc/yaboot.conf. So what to do? frank R. am 05.06.2001 9:54 Uhr schrieb Olaf Hering unter olh@suse.de:

You can simply install lilo ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/powerpc/lilo/lilo-0.0.7-19.ppc.rpm http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/de/html/olh_ppc_lilo.html Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
