BIG problem with SuSE 7.0 on iMac DV Special Edition
Hi, I installed SuSE 7.0 PPC on an iMac DV Special Edition. Problem is, when I shut down or restart, I get a grey screen and have to re-install EVERYTHING. Other times, I get a folder icon with a face like it's looking for MacOS. I WANT LINUX!!! :-) Someone told me the bootloader is bad. Is this fixable, and if so how? I have tried EVERYHING (newsgroups, mailing lists and IRC), I don't want to give up but may have to after this. :-( Cheers, Patrick -- Patrick Klee - Linux programmer for hire http://silverchair.futureks.net/~drwho "Life is short, so make your mark."

Did you install the latest Firmware update? That can cause problems with yaboot. Are you able to boot from the OF prompt like boot cd:,\\yaboot or boot hd:X,\\yaboot were X is the partition number? Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...

I have installed the latest firmware update on my DV iMac and am using the latest yaboot/ybin with no problems. It is flawless. Joss -- http://www.josswinn.org
