Hello there, I am having he same problem as Ryan trying to install SuSE 7.3 via FTP on a PowerPC 8500. I followed the same instructions and get the same message. After the initial startup the installer searches for hardware, then it stops forever with the message "Searching for infofile...." Again the installation never continues Ryan, did you ever figure it out? If anyone else knows this would be a great help.
