using external videoport on iBook, second attempt
Hi Magnus, hi there everybody, your description was quite helpfull, but doesn't work with OpenSuSE as it should. Your solution showed me the necessary option to set to activate/clone the VGA-Port. SAX2 offers some the driver options but not those needed. So I looked arround which files might be the right ones. Some files are "resistant" against changes (checksums ?) some seem not to be functional. Does anybody know in which file(s) I have to add the necessary options to acces them with SAX. The docs I read didn't give me the informations I needed. Thanks for your help. Did you try the XF86config from http://cmr.forestfactory.de/ibook/linux/ibook_linux.html or similar sites? I'm sure sax will never be able to do that because the mirroring is too model specific. You need to do it manually. -- short story of a lazy sysadmin: alias appserv=wotan
