Hi, I've succesfully installed SuSE 10 on an IBM RS6000 44P 270 machine. It works fine except for one thing: I can't get the video card work. It is an IBM GXT-3000P. Problems started during the setup: I get two small screen with some garbled text, I had to use a console to complete the installation. Is there a way to use this card with SuSE? Or I had better replace it? (That is not very easy, either.) Did anyone have the same problem? Any workarounds? I think this is a standard video card in this line of rs6k-s, so a lot of potential users might be experiencing the same. Any idea? Thanks, Imre Polik -- McMaster University Advanced Optimization Lab

This card has no video driver due to lack of docu about the used chips. Try to get a GXT120 or GXT130 from ebay, these matrox cards are supposed to work. -- short story of a lazy sysadmin: alias appserv=wotan
