I'm having a strange problem with dhclient. First off, I'm running SuSE 7.3 on a B&W G3 400, and I've run the latest online update. The problem is this: at seemingly random intervals (anywhere from twenty minutes to several hours), my computer will lose its ability to resolve URL's. I think it has something to do with dhclient, since running "rcdhclient restart" as root seems to fix things right up, at least until the next time it loses it. This doesn't happen when I'm booted into MacOS, so I don't think it's a problem with my connection or my hardware. Any ideas? -SB -- "As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life -- so I became a scientist. What about a ping before and after you lose your ability to resolve URL's. Do you get packet loss? Grüßli, Micha
