Thanks for the tips, Jean-Francois and Olaf. I am new to Linux. So adding patches or updating kernal could be trickier than I am ready for. Thanks for the info though -- when SuSE LinuxPPC 7.3 comes out I will try that, for sure. For now I will add a Rage 128 Pro w/16MB RAM video card to my Quicksilver G4 next to the stock NVidia card and plug my monitor into the Rage when I want to boot Linux. Got that idea from two guys on IRC (#linuxsupport) last night. They said with ATI extensions off (no acceleration) to keep it simple for Linux, the Rage 128 should work. Hope so, just bought one on half.com for $22.50 +shipping. Will try it when it arrives. Thanks, Roger San Francisco
