For the record, I'm also one of those openSUSE PPC users. I'm thinking about updating my iBook (G3)--it's currently running 10.3 or 11.0. I do not use it that often.
For the record, I too use openSUSE PPC. I have a G3 Powerbook (Pismo) with 768MB RAM and a 120GB Hard drive and I use 11.0. I tried upgrading to 11.1 unsuccessfully. It was too sluggish with KDE 4. I didn't try too hard to speed it up, but reverted to 11.0 with KDE 3 and am quite happy with what I've got. I use it every day. There were actually a few things broken such as wifi (though I think my wifi card died in the meantime) and Open Office also was broken. So I reverted. I do like the idea of being able to upgrade without having to reinstall, such as from 11.1 to 11.2, but would have to go through the whole reinstall from 11.0, which is a pain when you have everything working to your satisfaction... -- Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ on openSUSE Linux -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ppc+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ppc+help@opensuse.org
