Most definately. The communinty recommends against installing it and it will become an install option instead of mandatory with v10.3. YOU is much faster with v10.2 than ZMD. I've seen ZMD suck up all available resources with a reboot being required. I also don't recommend installing Beagle, openoffice.org, or Apparmour. I don't even run a software firewall since my router has one in it. Any really important info I have is saved on a machine not connected on-line anyway. Personally, I don't like openoffice because it's way to resource hungry. Since I use KDE, I just use KOffice, which has full support for ODF anyway. Same with Beagle. On my WinDoZe machine, I don't have Google Search installed either. I don't see the point.
