First of all I'm doing some web design, programming with PHP and mysql - which are already supported by MacOS X. But I'm missing some things, first of all easy connectivity with my PC. The only way to communicate is by using my iBook as an FTP server. But I'd like to use Samba instead.
Uh?... a little bit off topic, but... Mac OS X does have SMB support (you have updated to 10.1, did you?:-). Or you can install samba on it, if you want: you can do that directly from source (provided that you have already installed the developer tools), or get a pre-compiled, packaged version from http://xamba.sourceforge.net/sambax/index.shtml regards nicola
