I actually have the x86 media. I just didn't have any ppc machines at the time, and didn't buy the media for it. Since I just installed 7.3 on an old Thinkpad, I was just wondering how well it would run on my old Wallstreet.
On my iBook (G3), SLES9 plus a privately(?) provided Olaf kernel worked best. Nearly no crashes and you could close the lid to make it suspend to RAM. Power management seems to start working again with 11.0, but the machine stays always or often very hot. I do not know whether SLES9 is publically available... -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ppc+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ppc+help@opensuse.org
