Hi All, I've recently installed SuSE Linux for PPC (ver- sion 7.3) on my PPC 7200. On the distro I found a copy of the BootX Application aswell as the Extension. The Application works fine, but the Extension unfortunately does not. When restart the machine the BootX-dialog does appear, but when I select Linux the monitor goes black -- it actually seems to switch itself off. This is strange because booting up Linux through the BootX Application functions fine (vmlinux selected, root device: /dev/sdb8). Of course I've contacted SuSE Support but after having tried their best they wrote:
I'm sorry, I don't have a clue, what is happe- ning or why it isn't working, we never encoun- tered such a problem.
In the mean time I've tried installingn MacBugs, but it doesn't even get into that, the monitor just dies leaving me no other option than to restart the machine... Has any of you got any idea what might be going on here?
