I have moved my machine to be glibc 2.2.X based so all future builds of OpenOffice available from penguinppc.org will require a glibc -2.2.X system to work properly. This includes the very next build OpenOffice633 which is going to be our first milestone build.
I do not know if a glibc 2.2.X based SuSE is coming soon (or even already here?) but if not, I would be happy to help some interested sole to build OpenOffice-633 (and later) builds under the latest SuSE ppc release until it becomes glibc-2.2.X based (if it isn't already!).
7.1-ppc is glibc 2.2 based, so it should work. I asked some guys here, they said it took a few weeks to compile it at all on intel. There is no package yet, is it stable enough for shipping a binary package? Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
