YAST2 and serial ports on beige G3 MAC

Hi, using SuSE 7.3 on a beige Power MAC G3 it is not possible for me to install under YAST2 a serial printer on the serial ports of the MAC since the serial ports are not recognized. Does anybody have an idea how to solve this? Best regards Alfred
