Dear all,
I'm wondering if would be an option to create DVD 12.1 unstable for PPC, when openSuSE 12.1 is released. As there is officially no up to date openSuSE PPC release anymore. Then newbie PPC users will be able to install it on their old mac.

download the NET ISO. boot it. report if it works.
If it doesn't, doing a full DVD is not useful.
I will try, this weekend, that's no problem. The main reason why I ask for a freeze (12.1 unstable) is that we'll have a frozen release. If you have an ongoing factory release you'll have a broken release sometimes. Is it an option to also freeze the PPC release on version 12.1 i.e. to also have a openSUSE:12.1 release. The last version was 11.1. It might be that I'm overlooking something? Is there any objection to create a 12.1 unstable? An other option is also to create a openSUSE-12.1-NET-ppc.iso that uses the 12.1 repository in stead of a DVD.
