cd audio

Hello, I am trying (again) to get cd audio working on my Summer 2000 iMac DV SE. There is lots of info around concerning digital audio on the new Macs but none of it seems to work for me. What does one do, exactly, to play audio CDs on SUSE? It would be great to finally resolve this. The README in 7.0 said that it is now possible but neither 7.0 nor 7.1 work for me using xmms and the cdread plugin, nor cdparanoia. In fact, neither applications can even see an audio cd in the drive. Thanks very much! Joss -- http://www.josswinn.org
