read /usr/share/doc/packages/pmud/README.m3mirror, it should work perfect with 7.3.
I promised to return with response to Olafs advise: It is a fine and short howto It works just perfect and totally "out of the box" and in first try: janus@leika:~> m3mirror lcd:1 crt:1 Voila! VGA-mirror-output on my external 17" screen and the colours are just fine. Right now I am working on my presentation which I am going to show to 100++ people later tonight in the local LUG. The presentation is about LyX - and together with that I exptect the lighting Apple and the SuSE-sticker to catch attraction. ;-) Additional question: Right now the file m3mirror is placed in my /home-directory.
