Hey People, I have been trying to compile the 2.4.0-test1-ac21 kernel, to no avail. I used the following procedure: 1) tar xzvf linux-2.4.0-test1.tar.gz 2) cd to newly created linux directory 3) patch -p1 < ../patch-2.4.0-test1-ac21 3) patch -p1 < ../packet-0.0.2b/packet-0.0.2b.diff 4) configure kernel (with xconfig), with packet writing support 5) attempt build There are two errors during the compilation process: scsi.c:139: warning: &pi0;scsi_unregister_device' declared &pi0;static' but never defined and: drivers/scsi/scsidrv.o: In function &pi0;sr_module_init': drivers/scsi/scsidrv.o(.text.init+0x4d6): undefined reference to &pi0;scsi_register_module' make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1 The second error occurs at the point when ld is run to link together vmlinux. I am running Debian Woody, with kernel 2.2.15, gcc 2.95.2, ld 2.10.90. Sure would like to get this running if I can, would appreciate any help rendered. Thanks, Mark Robinson
