linux udf vs. windows udf.
Hello, I can't seem to register with the linux-udf mailing list, so I hope no one minds if I post here. I've noticed in previous threads that there has been issues with udf on HP 100i DVD+RW drive which is exactly what I have. It seems that most everyone's solution was to upgrade to HP 200i DVD+RW, but I am determined to make it work. I've tried alternate solutions and have gotten it to work on linux. What I did was I created a 4.5GB udf file system on my hard disk with dd of=udffs if=/dev/zero bs=32k count=146850. When I write this the growisofs userland tools to the dvd+rw, I am then able to mount the disk with mount -t udf /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom -orw,noatime I can then mount files of various sizes with very little problem to the dvd+rw. My problem arises when I try to access my data on windows. I get an error "Cannot access function". Does anyone know what this would be about? Or how I can fix it? -Leo Przybylski
Make sure you set the udfrev to 1.5 when you created the image. Ben Leo Przybylski wrote:
