More accurately, for the record, I said that after a quick skim through the patch and a glance at the kernel source, it looked like there was nothing in the patch that seemed to relate to pcd devices. As I think I surmised (IIRC) to Guy, given that pcd's are basically ATAPI devices attached to a parallel-port ATA interface, it might not be beyond the realms of possibility for someone with a good knowledge of the kernel and of ATAPI to hack together some sort of experimental support based on the existing ATAPI CD rewriter support. <think style="out_loud"> Or is there some sort of paride-scsi thing anywhere out there? Kind of like ide-scsi but for paride ATAPI devices... </think> Stephen
