HEY I AM NEEDING HELP SINCE TWO YEARS AGO!!!! Well, 2 years is a long long time I have installed Linux kernel 2.6.7 (PATHCED) with packet writing support, pktsetup utility, dvd-rw and dvd+rw anbd dvd+rw-format support and so that utulities needed to perform packet writing and dvd-cd formatting, LOL, I'm using the latest kernel 2.6.14 very well with packet writing. BUT YET I AM UNABLE TO PPERFORM ANY OF THESE TASK ON MY IBM THINKPAD T-22 WITH THE MUTLIBURNER ULTRABAY 2000 MATSHITA UJ-810 DRIVE and the job of to have to RE-MASTERING ALL THE DISK every time tha i need add any data to dvd or cd is become too truoble!!! Anybody know what c or c++ code line i have to modify for to be able to perform packet writing support on a cd o dvd?????????????????? I see that kernel only takes +RW media as RW only when it's virgin.

I'm experiencing bad sectors on new media, I guess is cause my burner is external and goes trows usb-storage, but data never get's wiped.
