Do you think it is worth adding the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA XML) to SUSE Linux? DITA XML is a topic oriented way of managing documentation. It is a standard driven by IBM and accepted by OASIS. For more info, see http://xml.coverpages.org/dita.html

Didn't have a look at it yet, but I guess it's a few hundred pages to read ;) You probably had a look at it, so ... how does that affect packaging ? Maybe wrong list.. ? opensuse-documentation ? :) cheers - -- -o) Pascal Bleser http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/ /\\ <pascal.bleser@skynet.be> <guru@unixtech.be> _\_v The more things change, the more they stay insane. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDdzM5r3NMWliFcXcRAoceAJ0UDiap1AtU8FNtQ1Us55IdsV/y+gCeNvat HFUcNjEXjvp9TXMU633Rg/E= =0k9q -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Obviously I'm hoping in vain that one of our packagers already prepared a spec file. At least, two spec files are required--one for the schemas (DTD and RelaxNG) and another one for the tools published at SF.net.
Maybe wrong list.. ? opensuse-documentation ? :)
First, we want to create DITA packages. Then we can evaluate the technology and discuss on opensuse-documentation how it compares with the current docbook approach ;)
