[opensuse-packaging] ruby req/provs
Hi, What is going on in devel:languages:ruby:extensions ? I am trying to install rubygem-vagrant which says that nothing provides rubygem(1.9.1:net-ssh:2.6) >= 2.6.6, net-ssh has been bumped to 2.7.0 version and provides rubygem(1.9.1:net-ssh:2.7). This should be auto-detected and reported to the maintainer. It is possible to run deps-resolver for every successfully built package, however, I think it is resource-consuming. Who need the repo providing not-installable packages. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

This already happens via the "all-good" dummy package in d:l:r:e: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Ruby#Compensating_for_lack_of_Buil... however for some reason there are a large number of breakages at the moment.
and reported to the maintainer.
I think it will be reported to the maintainer of "all-good", but not to the maintainer of rubygem-vagrant.

Yes, BuildRequires is deliberately omitted as documented in the link above. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

the "all" in all-good refers to all packages building for factory Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

That doesn't answer the question though :) *Why* is it only Factory? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

12.3 builds different packages and only one of them can be "all" good Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Oh, I see. Would it be worth having multiple dependency packages then? all-good-SLE_11_SP2 all-good-SLE_11_SP3 all-good-openSUSE_12.3 all-good-openSUSE_13.1 all-good-openSUSE_Factory etc. My work on generate_buildrequires.sh would make it easy to maintain the package lists for each one: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/devel:languages:ruby/ruby-commo... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Not for me - I hardly check the one we have. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
