How does one package a new bitmap font that also ships
into the font search path?
Obviously /usr/share/fonts/misc can't be used as
/usr/share/fonts/misc/fonts.alias is already owned by
Just using another directory in /usr/share/fonts doesn't seem to
work either. Some config file somewhere that I missed?
So to answer my own question, the solution was to put a config file that
adds a FontPath element to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/
The path is prepended to the built in path though. Works but not sure if
it could have side effects.
