Maintenance request for dkimproxy not reviewed
Hi, I have submitted a maintenance request for dkimproxy (15.4 and 15.5) more than three weeks ago. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1124837 It's still in open review for server:mail/dkimproxy . I tried pinging the bugowner directly (comment on OBS, review request on OBS, direct email) but I still did not get any movement. What can I do to make this MR progress? On a related note, I would like to submit the updated package to 15.6 as well. I clicked around OBS a bit and found https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Leap:15.6/dkimproxy . Should I send a MR to openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP6? Thanks, Robert

The maintainer indeed does not seem to have acted here to resolve bug#1216919. I have seen this happen sometimes with employee package maintainers that will wave one thing through but then not act on another. There is often an explanation for this - that is to say this is not usually on purpose or negligent even though it may seem so.

You could work with the server:mail project maintainers to override. If the package is entirely unmaintained you could request to become a maintainer yourself.

Submit it from openSUSE:Factory/dkimproxy to openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP6/dkimproxy. This should happen automatically for maintenance updates. Andreas

Yes, I would not assume that this is with ill intent, but there are always conflicting priorities, MRs are typically more risk (affect a released product), etc.

That is a good callout, thank you. I will keep in mind to reach out the project maintainers, not only the bugowner.

Will do, thank you. Thanks, Robert
